No casualties reported following Pandan Indah landslide


AMPANG: No casualties were reported following a landslide in Lembah Maju, Pandan Indah in the early hours of Monday (Nov 4) morning.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the police were informed of the incident at 4.35am.

"The police, Fire and Rescue Department, and local council personnel rushed to the scene. The location involved was a public parking space beside a large storm drain," he said in a statement on Monday.

A car had plunged into the collapsed cliff, and the owner has been informed, he added.

"There were no casualties or injuries. Authorities are analysing the slope before attempting to remove the vehicle," he said.

Meanwhile, Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said department personnel are monitoring the situation in the surrounding area.

"We have handed the matter over to the local council for further action," he added.
