Three killer in car-lorry crash in Gua Musang

GUA MUSANG: Three people died in an accident involving a car and a tanker lorry carrying diesel on Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai, near Gua Sejuk here, on Friday (July 31) morning.

Gua Musang fire station chief Muhammad Azrul Izzham Zulkifli said the deceased were a man, a woman and a boy, while another woman was seriously injured.

"We received an emergency call at 7.16am and sent eight personnel to the scene in two fire engines.

"They arrived at 7.52am and needed special rescue equipment to free the trapped victims in the car.

"Three occupants of the car died at the scene and one was seriously inured, while the lorry driver was unhurt," he said when contacted.

He said the lorry was believed to be travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru.

"All the victims were sent to Hospital Gua Musang and the bodies of the deceased were handed over to the police for further action," he said. – Bernama
