Dead body found floating in Kota Kemuning lake


SHAH ALAM: The body of a man was found floating in a lake in Kota Kemuning, Section 31, here on Wednesday (Oct 9).

Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, said the police were informed about the discovery of the dead body at 7.39am, reported Sinar Harian.

He added that the dead man was believed to be a foreigner.

"The initial investigation found that the body was found without any identification documents.

"The fully clothed victim was found lying on his back," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said an examination of the victim's body found no traces of a struggle or other injuries.

He said the body was sent to Shah Alam Hospital for an autopsy to identify the cause of death.

"The case is classified as sudden death, and members of the public who have more information can contact the case's investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Shahrul Bakhri, on 012-3630512," he said.
