Sg Buloh prisoner escapes while receiving treatment in hospital, say cops


SUNGAI BULOH: A prisoner from the Sungai Buloh prison has escaped from the Sungai Buloh hospital.

In a statement on Wednesday (Sept 18), Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said that the escapee has been identified as 27-year-old Kalai Kumar Anandan.

He has eight prior police records, for criminal and narcotics-related offences.

"The police are in the midst of tracing and catching the prisoner. Those with any information on his whereabouts are urged to contact the Sungai Buloh police headquarters at 03 6156 1222 or their nearest police station," he said.
