A CIVIL servant opted for early retirement to become a content creator on TikTok after raking in five-figure sums.

Raudzah Ismail, known as Puspa Gomen online, said she had worked in several ministries since 2006 and decided to retire early last year to focus on creating content for her online account.

“I started as an administrative assistant and worked my way up to my last position as assistant accountant, Grade W32. I opted for early retirement and got involved in social media due to my passion for the entertainment world since childhood.

“At that time, when the TikTok app started gaining popularity, I experimented with it little by little. Then, TikTok offered me the opportunity to become one of its content creators. At one point, one of my videos reached 60 countries,” she told Harian Metro.

As her videos gained attention and popularity, Puspa began receiving offers to review products, which has helped her earn a five-figure monthly income since 2021.

She later managed to not only purchase a house, a car and a motorcycle but also started her own business.

With 3.6 million followers on TikTok, she took unpaid leave for a year to pursue her passion in 2022 but later decided to retire early.

Saying there are too many content creators these days, Puspa added that her focus now is on building her business.

“I need to think of the future. Most importantly, I must not give up,” she said.
