Anwar announces RM50mil allocation for Madani Youth Financial Literacy programme

SHAH ALAM: An early allocation of RM50mil will be made to the Madani Youth Financial Literacy (Celik Kewangan Belia Madani) programme, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

RM50 will be credited to the accounts of university students and those studying in vocational institutions.

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) 2024 (Malaysia Unit Trust Week), Anwar also said that it was important for youths to acquire financial literacy.

"The target for the Celik Kewangan Belia Madani is 200,000 students yearly," said the prime minister.

The event, organised by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) was held at the Setia City Convention Centre here on Thursday (Aug 22).
