FIRMAN Bansir, lead vocalist of award-winning pop-rock group Hyper Act, was working on a new song a few months back when a “mysterious voice” made its way into the recording session.

Firman told Harian Metro he could not forget the shocking experience when he started recording the song Aku Tahu Asal Usulmu for the soundtrack on the movie Jangan Pandang Belakang 2 directed by Pierre Andre.

“The incident happened while I was in the recording studio, getting ready to record the vocals for the song. Just as I was about to start singing, I suddenly heard another voice.

“It was a man’s voice singing a line from that song that I had not sung yet.

“I even asked who was singing. But no one responded and everything went silent,” he said.

Firman added that he then told his friends that he felt uneasy and wanted to go home.

“I really lost my mood and needed to calm myself down because I kept wondering who was singing,” he said.Firman, who was the Season 11 winner of the singing competition Akademi Fantasia, said he did not tell his friends the whole story until the next day.

“Once I calmed down, I shared the incident with them and my friends said they didn’t hear the mysterious male voice at all.

“So, I asked Toy Nizam (singer-songwriter) to record the song Aku Tahu Asal Usulmu with me as a duo.

“I just couldn’t record the song by myself anymore because I kept being haunted by the incident.

“In fact, Toy also sang the part of the lyrics that the mysterious male voice sang,” he said.

Hyper Act was formed in 2009 and gained popularity with soundtrack songs for dramas such as Harapan, Takkan Pergi, Bukan Untukku, Mengejar Rindu, Hanya Aku and Kasih.

> Actress Nur Fazura said she has not been posting photos or videos with her husband, actor Fattah Amin, on social media recently out of respect for the situation in Gaza, Palestine, Kosmo! reported.

“Palestine is the main reason I rarely share my personal life events on social media because I feel it is unfair to show my happiness with my husband and child at the moment,” the celebrity told the daily’s entertainment pullout HibGlam.
