Nur Farah's post-mortem is still pending lab results for cause of death, say cops


SUNGAI BULOH: A post-mortem to determine the exact cause of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah’s death is still pending lab results, according to police.

In a statement on Tuesday (July 16), Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the post-mortem was conducted at Sungai Buloh Hospital and lasted two and a half hours.

“The post-mortem was conducted on July 16 by forensic pathologists at the Sungai Buloh Hospital, starting from 3pm and ending at 5.30pm. The results are pending laboratory investigation.

“The police are still investigating and urge any witnesses to come forward to their nearest police station to assist with investigations.

“The public are also reminded not to speculate on the case and not to spread photos or information that could disrupt investigations,” he said.

On Monday (July 15), Comm Hussein confirmed the arrest of a 26-year-old civil servant following the discovery of the body.

The man, a policeman based in Perak, has been remanded for seven days to assist in investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
