KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat observed a moment of silence Monday (June 24) to mourn the deaths of Dewan Negara president Datuk Mutang Tagal and former MP Tan Sri Joseph Kurup.

“On behalf of the House, I would like to convey our condolences to their families.... I hope they will stay strong to face their losses.

“I call upon all MPs to stand and observe a moment of silence to give our respect for both deceased who have contributed to the country,” Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul told the august House.
