MCA condemns act of sending death threat to Teresa Kok


PETALING JAYA: MCA condemns the death threat sent to Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, says party deputy information chief Mike Chong

He said the party is confident that the police will conduct an investigation and bring the culprits to justice.

"MCA also sympathises with what happened to Kok and strongly condemns this act of intimidation.

"It is not only illegal, but also an extreme act that should not happen in a pluralistic country like Malaysia. Stop illegal and disharmonious acts like this, sending death threats to leaders with racist words.

"It is hoped that the perpetrator will be caught immediately and be punished appropriately so that he can teach himself and others a lesson," he said in the statement on Monday (May 20).

Earlier, Kok discovered two bullets and a threatening letter in her home mailbox.

She confirmed the unsettling incident on Facebook, stating that the items were found last Wednesday (May 15).
