KKB polls: Pakatan’s Pang wins seat, according to unofficial count

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan candidate Pang Sock Tao (pic) has won the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, according to unofficial results.

As of 8.15pm Saturday (May 11), Pang garnered more than half of the total votes cast with 13,675 votes.

Perikatan Nasional’s Khairul Azhari Saut received 9,837 votes, Independent Nyau Ke Xin (183) and Parti Rakyat Malaysia Hafizah Zainuddin (149).

The total votes counted so far is 23,934, or 60% of total votes.

According to the Election Commission (EC), the KKB constituency has 40,226 registered voters.
