KKB polls: Two sets of twins bump into each other at polling centre


HULU SELANGOR: There was a light moment at a polling centre in Kuala Kubu Baru (KKB) when unity government candidate 31-years-old Pang Sock Tao was spotted together with her twin sister Pang Sock Ying.

The twin sisters were clad in white and they arrived at SJKC Khing Ming at 8.40am.

According to Pang, her twin sister was accompanying her to observe the voting process and their mother will be in KKB later on Sunday (May 11) to celebrate Mothers Day.

“I hope KKB voters will fulfil their responsibilities and vote. Go out and vote early because the weather can be erratic,” said Pang when met by reporters.

At the polling station, the Pang sisters also bumped into another pair of twins Chan Sher Ni and Chan Sher Er.

The two pairs of twins later took a picture together as a keepsake.

According to Sher Ni, it was the second time that the twins had voted together.

They both work in Genting Highlands and will be heading there on Sunday after celebrating Mothers Day on Sunday (May 11) afternoon.

The KKB by-election results are expected to be announced by 9pm today.

The KKB polls are a four-cornered fight between Pakatan Harapan’s Pang, Perikatan Nasional’s Khairul Azhari Saut, Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM) Hafizah Zainudin, and independent Nyau Ke Xin.
