KKB polls: Perikatan says they will file election petition if Pakatan wins

HULU SELANGOR: Perikatan Nasional says they will file an election petition if Pakatan Harapan wins the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election, claiming they have substantial evidence of election offences.

PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (pic) claimed that Pakatan had committed power abuse and misused government machinery before and during the by-election campaign.

"If Pakatan wins, we will file an election petition. We have cases such as in Kuala Terengganu and Kemaman.

"We have video evidence and recorded testimony," the Kota Baru MP said after the launch of Perikatan candidate Khairul Azhari Saut's manifesto here on Monday (May 6).

There was previous controversy recently after Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming announced an allocation of RM5.21mil to the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS).

However, Nga insisted that this did not violate the Election Offences Act 1954 as the allocation was announced before nomination day and not during the campaign period.
