Evacuation of Malaysians in Middle East unlikely, says Wisma Putra


KUALA LUMPUR: The evacuation of Malaysians in the Middle East, may not be necessary at this point of time as the situation remains stable and is considered safe for travel, says the Foreign Ministry.

The ministry, widely known as Wisma Putra, said in a statement on Wednesday (April 17) that it will continue to closely monitor developments in the region and has established an operations room which focuses on Iran, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon to ensure a timely and effective response to any emerging situation.
