Dr Wee presents memorandum outlining state Chinese community concerns to Johor MB

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong presents a memorandum outlining various concerns and requests representative of the Chinese community's interests in Johor to the Mentri Besar.

He said that the memorandum was handed over to Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi by Johor MCA during a courtesy call earlier on Monday (April 15).

He added that the document addressed several key issues, including the allocation of land and tax matters concerning Chinese schools, grounds for Chinese cemeteries, and the provision for Chinese temples and other places of worship.

"Our appreciation goes to Onn Hafiz for taking his time to go through and consider these issues presented by Johor MCA.

"Johor MCA also reiterated our stand to support the leadership of Onn Hafiz.

"I hope Johor MCA will continue to maintain a close relationship with the people on the ground so that we are always on the ball to handle the issues that concern them," he wrote on Facebook on Monday (April 15).
