BUKIT MERTAJAM: Ramadan is a time to give and share alike, and this was evident as a group, including orphans, were specially feted to a sumptuous buka puasa meal here.

Former Seberang Perai Mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud, who is now CEO of Yayasan Amal TYT, witnessed the meaningful event as the 80 guests enjoyed the food spread prepared for them by D’Tandoor Restaurant Bukit Mertajam.

Also in attendance at the event which was a joint effort of Yayasan Amal TYT and the restaurant chain, were teachers and special needs students who created an air of camaraderie.

The restaurant chain marked its 30 years in the food industry by serving bubur lambuk at the event.

D’Tandoor Group of Restaurants managing director Datuk Abdul Malik Abdullah emphasised the value of corporate social responsibility in his speech.

“The goal of this ceremony is to honour the underprivileged in this wonderful month of Ramadan, and fortify interpersonal bonds,” he added.
