PUNCAK ALAM: Eco Business Park V (EBP V), Eco World Development Group Bhd's (EcoWorld) largest green business park, held a signing ceremony at Eco Grandeur.

The event saw the signing for purchase of land and factory lots with 11 new companies.

The signing included the following parcels and products:

• Central Gate – 60’ x 130’ Cluster Factories (5 units)

• North Gate - Built-to-Suit (1 unit)

• Central Gate – Industrial Land (3 plots)

• West Gate – Industrial Land (1 plot)

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was also signed between EcoWorld and GoldenHome Living Co Ltd to establish a strategic partnership in providing housing furniture such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and innovative product packages for EcoWorld’s residential, commercial and industrial developments.

“We extend our warmest welcome to our new business partners joining EBP V. Thank you for choosing EBP V as your new business address and embarking on this journey with us. With these new partnerships, we are poised to strengthen EBP V’s position as a pivotal industrial hub across various sectors and industries,” said EcoWorld president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah.

Chang also said that EcoWorld believes strongly in forging strategic business partnerships to accelerate growth and value creation for its customers, communities and shareholders.

EBP V and complementary Eco Grandeur township are developed through a joint-venture between EcoWorld and the Employees Provident Fund Board (EPF). With a total GDV of RM3.5bil, the green industrial park spans 769 acres across five meticulously planned phases: East Gate, West Gate, North Gate, Central Gate and South Gate. This forward

looking business enclave boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, eco-conscious amenities and extensive security measures, ensuring optimal conditions for business operations.

Since its launch in 2017, EBP V has attracted over 400 diverse enterprises from various industries and its West, North and Central Gates are fully sold out. Meanwhile, East Gate has been fully completed with an occupancy rate of over 90%. The high take-up rate enjoyed by EBP V indicates a strong market demand for this industrial concept.

“As one of our four revenue pillars, Eco Business Parks contributed a record-breaking RM1.04 bil to the Group’s total RM3.6bil sales in FY2023. This pillar has seen exponential growth in recent years recording an overwhelming increase in sales of 374% from FY2020.

Eco Business Parks will continue to be a magnet, attracting more regional and international investors and industrialists,” added Chang.

EBP V will be introducing The Rubix Space in West Gate by mid-2024 and South Gate in the third quarter of 2024.

The Rubix Space presents a cutting-edge concept with 80’ x 80’ hybrid units designed to accommodate various business needs, from warehousing to office spaces. With a sleek and customisable interior, these units offer a total GDV of RM60mil, with only 18 exclusive units available. Priced from RM3.34mil, each unit embodies the “5 TYs” – Flexibility, Security, Community, Accessibility and Connectivity.

Meanwhile, the 92.3-acre South Gate emerges as an ideal destination for medium to large industries, offering industrial land and built-to-suit services ranging from 5 acres to 20 acres and beyond. South Gate serves as an extension of the industrial landscape, bridging Shah Alam and Sungai Buloh, where available industrial lands are scarce.

“We are excited for the continued growth of EBP V and the support that it has been receiving and are confident that it has the potential to significantly benefit the industrial sector, create job opportunities for local communities, and positively impact the national economy as a whole,” said Chang.

Benefitting from its strategic proximity to major seaports and airports, EBP V seamlessly integrates into the global marketplace, while also capitalising on its access to over 5 million residents within the bustling Klang Valley region. It has convenient access to major highways such as LATAR, DASH and WCE, ensuring easy interaction with clients, suppliers, and partners.
