Cattle breeder almost loses hand to grass-shredding machine

IPOH: A 56-year-old cattle breeder suffered severe injuries after his left hand was caught in a shredding machine used to process grass for cattle feed in Kampung Samy Road in Tapah.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said all five fingers and wrist of the breeder were severely injured in the 4.19pm incident.

He said the victim was feeding grass into the machine when his left hand got ensnared in it.

He said rescuers at the scene assessed the situation and used a grinder to cut away some of the metal to free the victim's hand. – Bernama
