Motel operator wants his ‘love chair’ back

SOCIAL media was abuzz after a love motel operator in Taipei, Taiwan, urged a guest to return a “love chair”, China Press reported.

The operator posted two pictures on Facebook. One featured the chair in the motel room and another of the room without the chair.

“Please return our eight-arm chair if you have taken it! Thank you!” said the operator in the post.

The post garnered over 8,660 likes and more than 2,100 shares.

Netizens expressed disbelief, with one social media user saying “This is ridiculous” and questioning if it was possible for a guest to have stolen such a large chair.

Love chairs are commonly found in adult entertainment establishments or themed hotel rooms for intimate purposes.

> A McDonald’s advertisement showing a woman holding a French Fries-scented perfume bottle has taken X by storm, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Users asked whether the popular fast-food franchise in Japan was indeed selling perfume. It is also labelled as a limited-time offer.

Upon further scrutiny, a small text below the advertisement stated, “Images are for reference only and are not actual products for manufacturing or sale.”

The post on March 7 had become a hot topic with over 215,000 views in three days.

There are three different “scents”: original French fries, ume seaweed salt and garlic black pepper.

It turns out that they are flavours of the “Spring Shake Shake French Fries” promotion.

> The daily also reported that a total of 316 Louis Vuitton (LV) bags and wallets that were found in several suitcases belonging to a passenger at the Fuzhou Changle International Airport in China were seized.

The suitcases with different types of luxury bags, including backpacks, handbags and wallets, were uncovered by the airport’s Customs following a scan.

However, the report did not disclose detailed information about the passenger or the flight.

The case has been transferred to the Customs enforcement department for further investigation.
