Court of Appeal upholds death sentence for man convicted of rape, sodomy, murder of 85-year-old woman


PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal here upheld the death sentence of a former lorry attendant for the murder of an 85-year-old woman after raping and sodomising her five years ago.

A panel of three judges led by Datuk Hadhariah Syed Ismail on Tuesday (Feb 27) unanimously dismissed the appeal by K. Sathiaraj, 31, to set aside his conviction and the death sentence handed down by the Shah Alam High Court on Aug 26, 2022.
