Host of govt services available at Madani Rakyat event

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 163 government services will be provided to visitors at the Central Zone Madani Rakyat programme scheduled to take place at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex from Feb 23-25.

Agriculture and Food Security (Food Industry Division Principal) senior assistant secretary Zurihanmi Zakariya said 121 were services offered by federal agencies under 26 ministries, while the rest would be those offered by state agencies.

“Among the services to be provided by federal agencies are counters for traffic summons discounts, and Road Transport Department (JPJ) counters for a helmet exchange, just like the one we had during the programme in Bukit Jalil last year.

“Also available are counters for Rahmah Aid status check and free health examination,” he said on Bernama TV’s Apa Khabar Malaysia programme yesterday.

Zurihanmi said the ministry would also have a special pavilion to provide information and direct consultation, such as on padi technology, aquaculture and vertical farming, as well as a petting zoo for children.

“We will also have Madani Agro Sales, offering various items at least 30% cheaper than market prices,” he said.

Zurihanmi said the public could also get the latest information on government policies and aspirations during the Madani Rakyat programme in Kuala Selangor.

“Come early, find a comfortable parking space, and bring enough money because there will be many items on sale,” he said.
