Three nabbed for robbery in Pulau Ketam


KLANG: Three men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a foreign national at knife point near Pulau Ketam here.

South Klang deputy OCPD Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah said they received a report from the 24-year-old victim on Thursday (Feb 8).

"He alleged that he was walking near Pulau Ketam with two friends when he was stopped by three men.

"One of the suspects brandished a knife and slapped one of the victims. The suspects then patted down the victims and took their mobile phones, passports and cash from them," he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 12).

He said the suspects then fled on a boat heading toward the Port Klang Jetty.

"At around 4pm on the same day, a police team from the Port Klang police station arrested three men aged between 29 and 33 at the jetty and managed to retrieve the possessions of the victims.

"Checks revealed the suspects had criminal records and one of them is wanted in connection with a causing hurt with a weapon case and robbery case in Cheras," he said adding that the suspects have been remanded to help with investigations.
