Afnan Hamimi is new Perikatan Youth chief

PETALING JAYA: Alor Setar MP Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden has been appointed the new Perikatan Nasional Youth chief.

In announcing this, Perikatan secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the appointment took effect yesterday.

He said the coalition expressed its gratitude to Ahmad Fadhli Shaari for his contributions and dedication when he served as the former Youth leader from Jan 26, 2022, to Friday.

“During the supreme council meeting on Friday, issues affecting the livelihoods of the people, such as the increase in water tariffs, were discussed.

“We unanimously urged the Federal Government to give priority to economic issues by solving the people’s problems,” Hamzah said in a statement yesterday.
