Bayan Lepas, Balik Pulau water supply fully restored, says assemblyman


GEORGE TOWN: The water supply at Bayan Lepas has been fully restored, says assemblyman Datuk Azrul Mahathir Aziz.

He said it was fully restored at 5am on Sunday (Jan 14).

"Thanks to all media partners for the support," he added.

On Saturday (Jan 13), Azrul said in a Facebook post that there were areas in his constituency where the water supply had yet to be restored.

These areas were Pangsapuri Nuri. Mutiara Perdana 2,Asoka, Akasia,Mutiara Perdana Apartment, Persiaran Kelicap, and Setia Pearl Island.

It is learned that the water supply in Balik Pulau has also been fully restored as of the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bayan Lepas and Balik Pulau were among the last locations scheduled to receive water in the four-day scheduled water cuts in the state.

The water cut affecting a total of 590,000 water consumers was scheduled from Jan 10 to 14.
