Entertainment journalist Siti Nor Hafiza dies in London

KUALA LUMPUR: Entertainment journalist Siti Nor Hafiza Kamarudin, who was reported to be in critical condition, has died at Charing Cross Hospital, London. She was 40.

The sad news was shared by her husband, Mohd Roshdi Ramli, who informed that she breathed her last at 3pm local time (11pm Malaysian time).

"The latest development is that she (Siti Nor Hafiza) has just breathed her last at 3pm," he told Bernama.

Earlier, Bernama reported that Mohd Roshdi Ramli had mentioned that his wife's health condition was somewhat worrying.

Mohd Roshdi, who is still in London, said that her condition at that time had deteriorated, and her blood pressure was also very low.

He elaborated that Siti Nor Hafiza was battling a recurrence of breast cancer, which reemerged after six years of being in remission.

Siti Nor Hafiza was being treated at the hospital after reportedly losing consciousness at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday while en route to Malaysia after a vacation.

The journalist, associated with the portals Boom Malaysia and Jurnal Malaysia owned by KRU Media, was selected to receive a sponsored travel package with her family to London and departed with her husband and their two children in the middle of this month. - Bernama
