JOHOR BARU: A human resources manager with a private company has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly submitting false claims amounting to RM200,000.
The 35-year-old woman was apprehended after giving a statement at the Commission's Johor office on Wednesday (Nov 8) at 10am and has since been released on MACC bail.
She is being investigated for submitting false documents to the Social Security Organisation (Socso) using Employee Verification Forms.
The suspect had allegedly submitted the claims to obtain incentives under the Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (Penjana) to implement the Hiring Incentive Programme, which was no longer fully implemented.
Johor MACC director Datuk Azmi Alis confirmed the arrest and added that the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
