Furniture factory in Kampung Kerdas almost razed in fire


PETALING JAYA: A furniture factory was almost completely burnt down in a morning blaze in Kampung Kerdas, Gombak.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the department was notified of the fire at 10.56am on Monday (Nov 6).

Seven fire stations deployed teams to the scene in Lorong Kerdas 4.

"Preliminary reports showed that the factory was around 80% burnt.

"Efforts to extinguish the fire are under way and there have been no reported victims," Ahmad Mukhlis said.
