KUALA LUMPUR: The high-growth, high-value (HGHV) initiative for the agriculture sector through the 12th Malaysia Plan Mid-Term Review is one of the government’s efforts to address the issue of food security in the country.
Economy Ministry Agriculture division director Datin Zaeidah Mohamed Esa said several programmes would be implemented under the HGHV initiative, such as modern and low-carbon agriculture, as well as increasing the involvement of young people, including through the Farming Entrepreneur Initiative (Intan).
