PKR restructures Sarawak leadership to gear up for 13th state election, appoints Mahmud Epah as state chief

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat has reached several key resolutions to strengthen its election preparations for the upcoming 13th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly election.

The decisions were finalised during a meeting between Sarawak PKR branch leaders and party President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Saturday, Oct 17.

According to a media statement issued by PKR Secretary-General Dr Fuziah Salleh on Saturday (Oct 18), the party's main focus is on electoral strategies and ground operations as part of a comprehensive preparation framework.

“To streamline the state machinery, the meeting agreed to a leadership restructuring, officially naming Mahmud Epah as the new Sarawak State Leadership Council (MPN) Chairman.

“Additionally, Ahmad Nazib Johari will continue his role in strengthening relations between the central leadership and Sabah and Sarawak, aligning with the party's broader focus of reinforcing political networks in both regions,” she said in the statement
