JKM handled 2,959 abuse, neglect cases from Jan-May this year

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development Ministry handled 2,959 child abuse cases between Jan and May through the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

It said in a statement on Monday (Sept 18) that of this, 647 cases were reported in Selangor, followed by Sabah (333 cases) and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (326 cases).
