IPOH: A 47-year-old woman and her teen son suffered minor injuries after their car was hit by a falling tree.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department operation officer Mohd Rozairi Abdul Rahim said the incident happened at Taman Song Choon, at 3pm Friday (Sept 8)

“We believe that the car was moving when the tree hit it.

“Upon arrival, we had to cut down the tree as the victims were stuck in the vehicle,” he said in a statement.

Mohd Rozairi said the victims were then brought to a private hospital.

“They suffered some minor injuries and were brought to the hospital by a passer-by.

“We have informed Ipoh City Council about the matter to assist us to remove the tree from the road,” he said.
