Kelantan nominates Nik Abduh as senator


PETALING JAYA: Former Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz has been appointed as Senator in the Dewan Negara representing Kelantan.

Nik Abduh's nomination was proposed by Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassurudin Daud and seconded by his deputy Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan.

Kelantan assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah then put the proposal to a vote, with the majority of those present agreeing to it.

Nik Abduh will replace Mohamad Affandi Mohamad, whose term as senator ended on July 7.
