INTERACTIVE: Six-state election results overview

PETALING JAYA: Voters chose to maintain the status quo in the six state elections.

The Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) pact kept Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang, while Perikatan Nasional (PN) retained Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.

None of the independents and candidates from other parties won any seats.

The following is a breakdown of how each of the six-state assembly looks like following the election:

In total, Perikatan received the biggest share of votes, winning 3.38mil or 49.3% of the ballots cast:

A total 70.1% or 6.86mil of eligible voters in the six states cast valid ballots in Saturday's poll.

The figure is much lower than during the 82.49% recorded in 14th General Election (GE14) when voters previously elected their state assemblymen.
