Puspal regrets indecent act of The 1975 during Good Vibes Festival

PETALING JAYA: The Central Agency for Application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (Puspal) says it regrets the indecent act on stage by British band The 1975 in Sepang on Friday (July 21).

"The act by the group during the Good Vibes Festival 2023 was a total disrespect and made a mockery of the country's laws and mannerism," said Puspal in a statement on Saturday (July 22).

It said the Communications and Digital Ministry through the Puspal committee has made a police report against the organisers for their negligence and failure to adhere to the guidelines stipulated by Puspal.

"When making the application, the organisers gave the assurance that they will take full responsibility for the artistes’ performance.

"As such, Puspal had made a decision to ban The 1975 from performing in the country.

“The ministry will never compromise with anyone who provokes and indulges in indecent acts during their performance in Malaysia," it added.
