Absentee teacher case a reminder that education is a shared duty, says Benedick


KOTA KINABALU: Everyone involved in the school system must work together for the sake of quality education and this includes the authorities, school administrations, teachers, students and parents, says Upko president Datuk Ewon Benedick.

The Penampang MP and Kadamaian assemblyman said the recent High Court decision that saw a teacher and four other defendants having to pay three students damages over a seven-month absence from school should serve as a wake-up call.
