MEET an aunty who rides big bikes during her me-time or as a way to de-stress.

Metro Ahad reported about Sarimah Mohd Zainul, 46, who is known as Makcik Harley Davidson for her passion in riding powerful machines.

“As a child, I had always accompanied my late father on motorcycle rides. He rode Suzuki, Vespa and scrambler bikes. He had always wanted to own a Harley Davidson, but at the time, he could not do so due to financial constraints,” she recalled.

The mother of three, who is a co-curriculum teacher at a primary school in Perlis, owns two Harley Davidson bikes – the Superlow XL 883 and HD Nightster 1200 – due to her hard work and savings.

In 2018, Sarimah was the first woman to embark on a solo Harley Davidson ride in Peninsular Malaysia.

“My husband is supportive of me. We would ride together sometimes,” she said.

Sarimah has also participated in about 100 convoys in the country and abroad, including Thailand.

Her middle child – a 20-year-old daughter – also shares her interest in big bikes, she added.
