KJ has not decided who to support

KUALA LUMPUR: Politician-turned-DJ Khairy Jamaluddin wants to look at what’s on offer from the political parties contesting the state elections before deciding who to support.

The former Umno Youth chief said that he would study the manifestos of all the political coalitions before making a decision.

“My decision remains to be seen as we don’t have a full idea yet of the manifestos of either side,” he said after a dialogue session with students at UCSI University here yesterday.

However, Khairy said that he would be supporting some of his friends who are likely to be campaigning with Perikatan Nasional.

“I am unsure if I’ll be given a chance to speak at any election rallies but if there are any friends of mine contesting, I’ll certainly be paying them a visit.

“It just so happens that most of them now happen to be in Perikatan Nasional,” he said.

On June 19, Khairy was reported to have given his backing for Perikatan in the upcoming state elections after a meeting with the coalition’s chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
