Tighten biosecurity laws to protect local shrimp farms, urges association

JOHOR BARU: Malaysian-produced prawns are losing out to their Indonesian and Thai counterparts following their presence in the local market about two months back.

Malaysian Prawn Industry Association chairman Syed Omar Syed Jaafar(pic) said that this had affected more than 3,000 local prawn breeders throughout the country.
