Hadi's condition improves, moved to regular ward

PETALING JAYA: PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang's (pic) health condition continues to improve on Sunday (July 2).

PAS vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said the Marang MP has been transferred to a regular ward from the cardiac care unit (CCU), Malay language daily Sinar Harian reported.

"He is still receiving treatment and is under observation by doctors," he said.

The Kelantan Deputy Mentri Besar also said no visitors were allowed to give Abdul Hadi the space to recover.

"No visitors, let him rest properly and we pray that he will return to good health soonest," Mohd Amar told Sinar Harian.

It was previously reported that several programmes involving Abdul Hadi had to be postponed after his health deteriorated before Hari Raya Aidiladha on Thursday (June 29).

The last event attended by Abdul Hadi was the launch of the PAS Youth state election machinery in Dewan Tok Guru, Rusila, Marang on Wednesday (June 28).

Earlier, the former Terengganu mentri besar's son, Muhammad Khalil, had announced that Abdul Hadi had been admitted to hospital for further treatment.

Abdul Hadi, a heart patient, had valve surgery at the National Heart Institute in 2017.

Muhammad Khalil also urged the people to pray for Abdul Hadi's longevity and health.
