"A postmortem will be carried out on the motorcyclist for cause of death.
"We are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving," he said.
Earlier on Sunday (June 4) footage of a motorcyclist who ran through a red light and hit a car here went viral on social media.
Two short videos, one six seconds and another nine seconds long, shows two bikers going at high speed along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
The biker in front is seen performing the "superman" stunt and both continue speeding as they approach a traffic light which is showing red.
A car making a right turn coming from the opposite direction suddenly appears and the first biker, unable to slow down or stop, rams into the car while the second motorcyclist just manages to avoid hitting the vehicle.
