PETALING JAYA: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) may hold a new round of proceedings over the littoral combat ship (LCS) issue in the coming Parliament session, says Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.

The PAC chairman said the suggestion was for the proceedings to start once the Dewan Rakyat approves the appointment of new PAC members.

Mas Ermieyati said the PAC would present a new report to Parliament once the progress reports are received from the Defence Ministry.

Among the recommendations by the PAC previously was to receive progress reports on the project every three months from the ministry.

"The PAC is expected to hold its first proceedings at the Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS) in Lumut and also make a working visit to view the construction progress of the LCS," she said.
