Two teens killed in motorcycle accident in Johor


KULAI: Two teenagers died after the motorcycle they were on skidded at KM2, Jalan Kulai-Kota Tinggi on Tuesday (May 9).

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said in the 4.05pm incident, the 17-year-old motorcyclist who suffered from head injuries, died on the spot.

“The 16-year-old pillion rider who also suffered from head injuries passed away after being admitted to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital," he said in a statement.

Supt Tok said an investigation conducted on the site showed they had lost control of the motorcycle when passing the bend at KM2, Jalan Kulai-Kota Tinggi and hit the road divider.

He said the motorcycle would be brought to Puspakom Senai for inspection and the case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
