Duo to be charged with murder of businessman


KAJANG: Two suspects linked to the abduction and murder of a 41-year-old businessman here will be charged on Monday (May 8).

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan, in a statement today (May 5), said that the suspects, a retiree and an e-hailing driver, will be charged with murder at the Kajang Magistrate’s Court.

"Both suspects will be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code and the charge will be read together with Section 34," he said.

On Tuesday, Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim, who owns a chain of clinics, was abducted on April 26 after meeting a business acquaintance at a restaurant in Semenyih.

The victim's hands and neck were tied with cable wires before his body was stuffed in a luggage bag and dumped in Hulu Langat outskirts, some 27m from the main road.
