NGO gives laptops to students from poor families


GAGASAN Tranformasi India Selangor has provided laptops to around 50 Indian students from poor families, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Its president, who was only identified as Sekaran, said education was important to ensure no one from the Indian community is left behind.

Financial constraints should not be a burden for Indian students, especially those from poor families and children of single mothers.

Sekaran said they were able to help the son of a single mother and two female university students recently.

> A fraudster who claimed to have been the captain of the Indian wheelchair cricket team managed to get a photo with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Makkal Osai reported.

The man, identified as Vinod Babu, claimed to have led the national team in the Asian wheelchair cricket competition in Karachi, Pakistan.
