Foreign submarines need permission to sail submerged

FOREIGN submarines must seek permission from Malaysian authorities should they want to sail submerged while in the country’s waters, says Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

Without approval, submarines must surface when passing through Malaysian waters as per international laws, he said.
