A CANADIAN Sikh man has broken three previous world records – including his own – for the longest beard, Makkal Osai reported.

Sarwan Singh first set the record in 2008 with his beard measuring 2.33m then, before following it up with 2.5m in 2010.

His latest record, verified by the Guinness World Records on March 22 this year, is 2.54m.

Sarwan said the upkeep of his record-setting beard involved lengthy steps but it was never a burden to him as it was part of his faith.

Though it has gone from black to grey, it remains a magnificent representation of his dedication.

> The daily also reported that Tamil primary schools in Ipoh with the Dual Language Programme (DLP) saw an increase in pupil enrolment while those without it recorded a decline.

SJK(T) Kerajaan Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) chairman R. Jeyaseelan said many parents believed learning Science and Maths in English would be better for their children in the long run.

The school successfully applied for approval to implement DLP starting in 2024, he said.
