KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has recorded the statements of a producer and six actors of the movie "Mentega Terbang".
Police secretary Deputy Comm Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said the statements were recorded by investigators from Bukit Aman CID's Special Investigation Unit on Tuesday (March 14).
"The unit is still investigating the case.
"We will update if there is any development," she said in a statement on Wednesday (March 15).

Previously, DCP Noorsiah had said that eight police reports have been lodged against the movie.
The case is classified under Section 298A and Section 505(b) of the Penal Code as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
On March 5, the Communications and Digital Ministry instructed the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take action against the movie producers.
Minister Fahmi Fadzil had said that both agencies were investigating aspects of regulatory infringements by the production team.

Previously, clips from the movie went viral. One showed the main character "Aisyah" openly asking for pork from a non-Muslim friend while another clip showed Aisyah's father letting her convert to another religion.
The clips drew the ire of social media users, who questioned how such a movie was approved for screening.
