More engineers needed to build a sustainable future


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia needs more engineers to help the country achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to build a sustainable future, says the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry.

According to the Board of Engineers Malaysia, 187,900 engineers officially registered last year, while the ratio of engineers to the country’s population was 1:170 compared to 1:100 for developed countries like Germany and France.
