Man throws tantrum at police station, cops find porn on his phone after arrest

KUALA LUMPUR: A man landed in hot water after police found pornography on his phone after he was arrested for causing a disturbance at a police station while lodging a report.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak, in a statement Monday (Jan 30), said the complainant had claimed that he had lost his IC after his bag was stolen by a snatch thief in Pandan Indah.

He then went to the Ampang Jaya police headquarters on Sunday (Jan 29) to lodge a report but got angry after being asked to wait.

"He raised his voice at the assistant investigating officer recording his statement, saying that he had waited for over an hour to lodge a report.

"He then stood up and threw a chair at a door while shouting that he 'wanted to go home'," he said.

His outburst led to a police inspection, where several pornographic videos were found on his phone.

ACP Mohamad Farouk also said they found that the report lodged was false and that the suspect had done so to avoid paying the penalty to make a new MyKad.

"The 29-year-old man, who has a management role in a bank, has been remanded until Feb 1," he said.
