Man found dead inside car in Penampang


KOTA KINABALU: A man in his 50’s was found lifeless inside a car in Penampang on Friday (Jan 27).

Police has classified the case as sudden death, said Penampang district police chief DSP Mohd Haris Ibrahim.

Earlier, they received a report that the victim, a local man, was in an unconscious state inside a vehicle parked in front of a premises in Taman Jumbo, Putatan.

“Based on the police investigation at the location, the victim was declared dead on site by a medical officer from the Kota Kinabalu district hospital.

“The body was then handed over to the hospital’s Forensics Department.

“The police would like to remind public members to not speculate or circulate images or videos of the deceased at the scene in social media and to be sensitive towards the victim’s families,” he added.
